  1. Even though the times we live in right now seem uncertain for many, the inauguration of President O'Bama will herald the people of the United States into a new, exciting time and this blog will welcome all to become active in this great time in our history.

  2. Wow, what an awesome project. As a 5th grade teacher, this was the kind of personal, real life experience I was looking for to give my students a lasting taste of this event. The enormity of this experience will not fully be realized for years, but projects like this one will help to ensure that it is full and lasting. Me and my 20 ten and eleven year olds will be talking to you soon. Keep up the great work!

I live in the United States, but I was born in Egypt. I moved to America 3 years ago and I am 15 years old. I have several questions for you.
    1) Are you excited to live in the white house?
    2) How did you feel the moment it was announced that you were the next President of the United States?
    3) What would you be doing right now, if they announced that McCain was the next president of the United States?

In addition I would ask him to be prudent in making financial decisions and to consider how a strong education system now will strengthen our economy in the future. There are two things that I think we should focus more on. One thing is to switch to alternative energy because our ozone layer is in bad shape. Another thing is to ban cell phone use in cars. 36. I would ask President-Elect Obama to remember to care for our environment and make drastic changes to the way we make and use energy, even in the midst of this economic crisis. Now is the critical time to act for our planet in order to avoid an average temperature change of 2 degrees, and if we wait until the economy levels out the whole world will suffer, particularly the underdeveloped nations.

  92. I'm really just curious about how it feels to be such a huge part of History. I mean, for a country that has been stating that skin color doesn't matter anymore, we are really making a huge deal out of this. Not to offend anyone, I think its pretty cool, but it just goes to show we aren't as open minded as we say we are. So, if I could ask him anything, I guess it would only be "How does it feel to be such a big part of history, and how do you think it will effect the difference between people of different race."
